Today

The Today screen is your daily dashboard. It shows exactly what needs attention in your garden right now, calculated from your plantings automatically — no manual lists to maintain.

Watering

The watering section appears when one or more plantings are overdue for water. It shows how many days have passed since they were last watered.

Starting a watering round

Tap the watering card to open the watering round. You see every overdue planting listed with its bed name and crop.

  • Tap a planting to mark it as watered
  • Tap Water all to mark everything at once
  • The button shows your progress: Done (3/5)

When you finish the round, the app logs a watering entry in your journal automatically.

Watering intervals

Watering intervals are set per crop in the Grow tab. The app tracks when each planting was last watered. If the number of days since last watering equals or exceeds the crop's interval, the planting appears here. If a planting has never been watered, the app counts from the sow date instead.

If a crop has no interval set, it defaults to a 2-day reminder and will appear in the watering section.

Harvest

The harvest section appears when plantings have reached their days-to-maturity. It shows how many plants are ready.

Logging a harvest

Tap the harvest card to open the harvest round. For each plant you can enter:

  • Amount in grams — for crops you weigh (tomatoes, courgettes, beans)
  • Amount in pieces — for crops you count (heads of lettuce, pumpkins)

You can skip individual plants if they are not ready yet — leave the amount field empty and the plant is not logged. Skipped plants remain active and reappear in the harvest section the next day. Logged harvests are added to your season totals (visible in the More tab under Season Harvests).

Weather

The weather strip at the top of the screen shows the current conditions and today's forecast for your garden location.

Tap it to open the 7-day forecast view with temperature highs and lows, precipitation, and wind.

No weather shown? Go to More → Location & Climate and set your garden's location. You can tap Detect my location to use GPS (the app will ask for permission) or enter a city name manually.

Day detail

In the Journal tab, tap any date header to see everything that happened that day — watering, harvests, and manual notes grouped together.
