Garden Assistant
Garden Assistant is a personal garden planner that helps you stay on top of watering, track everything you grow, and plan your beds season after season. Everything lives on your device — no account required to get started.
What you can do
- Stay on top of tasks — the Today screen tells you what needs watering or harvesting each day, automatically based on your plantings
- Plan your layout — draw garden beds to scale and track every planting inside them
- Keep a garden journal — log observations, fertilizing, and harvests with optional photos
- Learn what grows together — companion planting guidance flags crops that help or hurt each other in the same bed
- Review your season — see total harvest weights and counts per crop across the year
The five tabs
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Today | Daily watering and harvest tasks |

Getting started
When you open the app for the first time, a short onboarding walks you through the basics:
- Garden basics — give your garden a name and set its location (used for weather and frost date guidance)
- Starting layout — choose from raised beds, allotment, patio & pots, or a blank canvas
- Draw your beds — tap to place corners and trace the outline of each bed
- Sunlight — set the sunlight conditions for each bed
The whole setup takes about two minutes. You can skip any step and come back to it later from the Planner.
